Security and Research Conference 2009
(SRC'09) the major meeting place for security research in Europe
29 and 30 September, 2009 in Stockholm
The event is expected to bring together more than 1,200 representatives from research, industry, European institutions, public authorities and other stake-holders with interests for the security of Europe’s Citizens. For Europe’s researchers, innovators, engineers, policy and business decision-makers in the field of security research this is the event of the year if you’re going to influence the shaping of policies and research options for the future of Europe.
During the second day of the conference , the 30th of September, LänsTekniskt Centrum Kramfors, also member of the Swedish Enterprise Europe Network consortium SweNet and member of SG Security, will organize a Brokerage Event. One day of one-to-one meetings aimed to promote agreements based on technology and commercial transfer between companies, research institutes and FP consortiums.
Any company, body or professional related to production of technology or security systems can take part in the Brokerage Event free of charge in order to find counterparts to sell their technology, to research new technology solutions, to realize trade agreements and common projects.
The Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems, VINNOVA, is organizing the fourth annual European Security Research Conference, in Stockholm on the 29th to 30th of September 2009, www.SRC09.se. This event will be held under the Swedish Presidency of the European Union.
The annual European Security Research Conference will continue to be the meeting place above all for the stakeholders within Security research in Europe. Since the preparations for FP7 this has been a major meeting place and discussion point for forming the security research area in Europe and debating the European research agenda. The first event took place in Vienna, Austria during the Austrian presidency of the European Union in 2006. This was followed by an event in Berlin during the German presidency in 2007. During the French presidency in 2008 the conference was held in Paris.
