Vision and impact

Mappi’s vision is to democratize computational education by turning AI into every student’s personal learning assistant. We contribute to the UN’s SDG 4: Quality Education by enabling personalized, high-quality learning at scale, and to SDG 8: Decent Work & Economic Growth by improving students’ chances to graduate, pursue higher education and enter the labor market.

In Sweden, around one in three students fail national high school math exams each year. Globally, UNESCO reports that over 100 million upper-secondary students lack access to qualified math teaching. For many, passing or failing in computational subjects is the turning point between opportunity and exclusion.

Our long-term goal is clear: a world where no student is left behind in computational subjects: the gateway to tomorrow’s jobs, innovation, and sustainable growth.

Risk management

  • Mappi operates in a fast-moving EdTech and AI landscape with three main risk areas:

    • Technology: Scaling AI infrastructure to meet growing demand. We manage this through continuous

stress-testing, GDPR-compliant data handling, and recruitment of infrastructure specialists.

    • Market: Schools are traditionally slow adopters of new technology. We mitigate this via strong

partnerships with established publishers and pilot programs with schools in Sweden and

    internationally.

    • Regulation: Data privacy and educational compliance are critical. We address this by storing all data

on EU servers, applying zero data retention policies, and ensuring full GDPR alignment.

Through strategic partnerships, continuous validation in classrooms, and proactive compliance, we reduce

risks while positioning Mappi for sustainable growth.
