Lingon

About the company

Lingon is an innovative tech company pioneering digital transparency in the furniture and lighting industry. We develop Digital Product Passports (DPPs) - verifiable digital identities that connect every unique product individual to its data across the entire value chain. Our work helps manufacturers and their customers access trusted information about materials, origin, and environmental impact as well as strengthening the brand relationship by contextual storytelling and targeted services.

In a sector still dominated by manual records and disconnected systems, we make product data visible, traceable, and compliant with new EU regulations such as ESPR and CSRD. Lingon’s platform simplifies compliance, streamlines data management, and unlocks opportunities for new business models in the circular economy. By using Lingon’s DPPs, brands can extend the product lifetime value from the moment of sale until end of life, including business relationships with any future owner of a product. By combining certification expertise, data infrastructure, and real-time product tracking, we turn regulatory pressure into business advantage and traditional producers into data driven businesses.

Vision and impact

Making transparent, traceable data a standard in global manufacturing. We aim to lead the digital transformation of the furniture and lighting industry through accessible, scalable Digital Product Passport solutions.

By enabling smarter data flows, circular business models, and regulatory compliance, Lingon directly supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 13 (Climate Action).

Our vision is a future where every product tells its verified story, from origin to reuse - driving accountability, efficiency, and sustainable growth.

Risk management

Identified Risks:

Slow digital adoption among manufacturers could delay large-scale rollout. Shifts in EU implementation timelines or requirements may impact compliance demand. Dependence on partner readiness and external data quality affects scalability.

Mitigation Strategies:

  • Platform focused on real business value on top of compliance, for enhancing business development and reducing business costs; as well as being open enough to accommodate adjacent sectors.
  • Close partnerships with furniture, lifestyle, and design alliances for cluster-wide solutions for SMEs
  • Strategic partnership with IT system integrators and external development resources to keep overheads low and ensure market-driven scalability
  • Active grant-writing process to ensure industry-wide collaborations and bridging of time to full market readiness
